“Eftsure Acquires Relish, Creating the Global Leader in Trusted Enterprise Payments, From Onboarding to Payment.” What does this mean?
What does this mean for our partners, customers, and the market? We have the perfect person to break it down: Anu Yalamanchili. Her perspective is a lot like her, smart, ambitious, and insightful.
Q: Hi Anu. Thank you for taking the time to sit with me and answer a few questions. Let’s start simple. What actually happened here?
A: Eftsure acquired Relish. Our companies really complement each other, Eftsure catches fraud right before a payment goes out, double-checking that the payee and bank details are legit. Relish comes in earlier, making sure payee data is accurate the moment a payee is onboarded (that’s Data Assure) and automating invoice checks along the way (that’s Invoice AI). Together, instead of two separate checkpoints, you get one connected safety net that covers the whole journey, from onboarding, to every invoice, to the final payment.
Q: Why does that combination matter so much right now?
A: It is all over the news, global financial fraud losses hit an estimated $442 billion in 2025 according to INTERPOL, and AI is only making it easier for bad actors to move fast. At the same time, AI is making finance workflows faster and more automated on the legitimate side too, which means the controls protecting those workflows have to be just as connected, or the speed itself becomes a liability. Trusted data and connected controls aren’t a nice-to-have anymore; they’re the thing that ensures automation is safe.
Q: Does anything change for current Relish customers?
A: The products customers already rely on aren’t going anywhere, Data Assure and Invoice AI continue exactly as they are, still integrating natively with the platforms customers already run on: Workday, SAP, and Coupa. What changes is what sits around those products. Customers now get Eftsure’s independent payment verification layered on top, without needing to bolt on a separate vendor or manage another integration project. It’s more coverage, not more complexity.
Q: What does this mean for the industry more broadly?
A: It signals that point solutions aren’t enough anymore. For a long time, companies stitched together separate tools for vendor and employee onboarding, invoice processing, and payment verification, and every seam between those tools was a place fraud could slip through.
Q: If you had to sum up what this means in one sentence, what would it be?
A: Trust used to be checked at one moment in the payment process. Now it’s checked at every moment , onboarding, invoicing, and payment, by one connected platform instead of a patchwork of tools. I know that’s two sentences!
Q: Last question. What do you RELISH most about this endeavor?
A: Continued expansion. We are building a truly global footprint. Expect more innovation, more regions, and more of the finance ecosystem brought under one roof.
Thanks, Anu! As always, you have a great perspective on where things are headed!
